Marc and Katie have such a beautiful family. Hard to believe that Joey is 18 months old! Katie was quite the proud momma to see her children cooperate and follow directions and be completely comfortable and candid during our session. At 18 months Joey is learning and exploring the world! Walking, playing and keeping up with big sister Lydia. He’s going to have to be quick; Lydia is a runner and chatting up a storm. Marc shared that this is his favorite session they have had with us. What a wonderful compliment, we look forward to capturing many more milestones with Marc, Katie, Lydia and Joey.

Keeping traditions alive is a huge part of Christmas. These families have all extended their love beyond the bounds of many by adopting a child or children from Ethiopia. Each year a special celebration takes place to keep the culture alive these truly special children were born into. The day was filled with so much spirit and love. We were so lucky to capture this unique Christmas celebration.

Ballet bubble princess, Nola is two years old! This little lady was ready for a fun day. She followed directions perfectly and we got some amazing photos. The day was filled with flower picking (Nola’s favorite!), tiaras, tutus and bubble blowing. Nola is such a sweetheart and has stolen our hearts.

We teamed up with City Girl Weddings and Events and White House Black Market for the official launch of
City Girl Weddings and Events. During the launch party we had the opportunity to meet and mingle with
various vendors, and many potential clients. Part of the promotion was for us and other photographers to
take models around the city for mock wedding photoshoots to show off the types of weddings City Girl plans,
style of photographers they work with, not to mention help generate buzz!

In case you haven’t heard Universal Studios Islands of Adventure in Orlando has created a live version of
Harry Potter’s world – fittingly named: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™. We are huge fans of the
books and movies and couldn’t possibly have passed up the chance to experience the magical recreation!
From Hogwarts Castle right down to the butter beer it really was an epic adventure. Even waiting in line
to ride rides was exciting – so many details to take in, we really felt as though we had been sucked into
the pages of Harry Potter’s world.

The doctor prescribes: Love. Devon and Greg have a lot of it – you can see it in their eyes! We had
such a great time photographing them around Chicago. These two doctors and fun loving couple
will be tying the knot in November 2011.

We were at the Chicago French Market during lunchtime this week for a new event called “Dine Around the Market.”  It is going to be a monthly cooking demonstration using ingredients found at the French Market. This week, chefs from the Blackstone Hotel made three courses: a sweet potato soup with bacon and sourdough croutons, a salmon sandwich with Taleggio cheese, and bananas with custard. And the best part: free samples afterwards!
