Lydia turns 2 on May 12th! We did a two year shoot with them this last weekend, which I was really excited about. I wanted to show you how big Lydia has gotten since our first photo shoot with her so long ago.

Be Inspired

Monday, April 19th, 2010

We recently went to the PPA Chicago Tour 2010. We saw Allison Rodgers speak. She really inspired me. And one of the most inspiring things she said was “Inspire and be inspired.” So here are a few things that inspire me.

Here is a shirt that I loved! I actually ended up getting it for Rich for our first anniversary of dating. He then wore it out when we went apple picking that day!

I love the quality of the shirt. I love the contrast of the white on black. I think it is such a creative way to wear a camera. I found out that this seller no longer sells at this location on etsy, but if you want to see their page and profile click here.

Here is a photo of him wearing the shirt for the first time!

Wedding Season

Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

In the spirit of wedding season starting, I wanted to post some of my favorites from last year’s weddings we shot.

Our first wedding of the year was Maggie & David
Maggie & David Wedding-12
As you can see in this photo, the couple is so in love. We never once had to ask them to smile!

Our second wedding of 2009 was Nate & Bethany
bouquets up
Bethany is an event planner, so not only were we able to have fun wedding party shots, it was the most organized and put together wedding we have been to thus far. Thanks Bethany!

The third wedding of the year was Kristen & Jimmy
Kristen & Jimmy-9
This wedding Rich was out of town, so I borrowed Beth to help me shoot it. I love the rock and roll feel to the couple!

Next was my best friend Missy & Dave’s wedding

I obviously didn’t take this photo. I was only able to take photos of the girls getting ready. We recruited Josh to help Rich with this wedding. My favorite part of this wedding was of coarse that I got to stand along side my best friend during the biggest day of her life!

Anna & Justin’s wedding was next

For a last minute job, we sure lucked out for a very beautiful bride who was super easy going!

After that was Nick & Katie’s wedding
having fun
My favorite part of this wedding is that I got to see this from the beginning. I was in St. Vincent with them when Nick proposed. I did a quick engagement shoot for them the day we left the island, very early in the morning. Then we did their engagement shoot and a bridal session before the wedding, this made us very intimate with the couple before the wedding, and we were able to have a wonderful time at the wedding!

Following that wedding was Nick & Bridget
Nick & Bridget
This was the smallest and most intimate wedding we have been privileged to shoot. We loved simplicity and really felt what is most important to the couple!

Last but not least was Matt & Katie’s wedding

We got to travel out of the state for this wedding. They were a very fun couple with unique details!
